On 21st December 1908 socialite Glasgow socialite Marion Gilchrist was found dead shortly after 7pm, after her maid Helen discovered her having been bludgeoned to death in the dining room.


What would follow would be a case that would become one of the most contested in Scottish law, and one which would cast a lasting stain on the British judiciary system.
