Autism Spectrum Disorder

What exactly is Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD? Contrary to what most people have been led to believe, Autism is not something that only young boys get. In fact, it isn’t something that you can “get”, it’s a brain neurotype that you are born with, it can happen to anyone of any gender, and you don’t grow out of it as you get older. I’m a nearly 50-year old woman, and I was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In this podcast episode, I'll define what Autism Spectrum Disorder is, give the most common Autistic traits, and give you some resources and next steps you can take if you suspect that you have Autism and would like to get diagnosed. I also talk about the pros and cons of getting a diagnosis.

Nature Based Religions

Spirituality is one third of the holistic wellness trifecta of body, mind, and soul. Those that claim to be “spiritual but not religious” account for over 20% of the population in the United States. Many people (including myself) have moved away from organized religion and have adopted a more nature-based approach to spirituality. 

In this episode, I’ll be covering the basics of some of the main religions that focus on nature. These nature-based religions don’t center around one person or God in the Christian sense. I'll also share with you some ways that you can start practicing an Earth-based spirituality right away.
