Do not listen to Nay sayers.

11m · Living Life As A Successful Failure · 14 Dec 06:04

I had this experience where someone basically was giving me advice not in line with my new found dreams, desires and goals and this person said to me that I was my own problem. But my question is how can you say that if you've no idea about what I am doing? Now I am one to listen to advice, so I'm not saying don't listen to advice. I had finally gotten to a place where I'm able to push past my fears so I wasn't willing to back down on my convictions which made same person say " you are set in your ways". Hurray finally I'm doing something I'd only dreamt about, and it's coming off as that "Great". Don't get me wrong find people who you admire and have an idea of what you are about and listen to all they have to say and choose the ones you need. But never listen to Nay sayers unless it's to prove them wrong.

What is on the other side of your fear?

I was listening to my podcast recently and I kept cringing even more so when I saw that it had had 30 plays. My voice isn't the smoothest, neither can I say that for sure I know what I am doing, but I choose to push through, maybe one day my voice would become the coolest thing to hear, my grammar sound and what I say the best advice, but until then I am going to keep pushing to see what is in the other side of my fears.

Just because ideas morph and take a life of it's own.

Honestly, sometimes when we come up with a brilliant plan or idea, we often think that "this is it" and sometimes "it is it" but at other times, Saudi ideas take on a life of it's own and begins to grow in ways you could not have imagined. Which is a good thing but sometimes that's ole fear comes up "argh" and just makes you wonder "am I even doing the right thing?"

With your dreams start where you can.

Living a life of success means stepping out actually making an effort, no matter how small. And as my friend once said "where you can start small with your dreams, start". Hear about my reasons for not having started this podcast earlier and what I chose to do about it.
