It's Mental Health Awareness Month!

Happy May! The girls are taking today's episode to talk about what mental health means, their own experiences with anxiety and the techniques they use on a rough day. Brooke opens up about her issues with Trichotillomania and Carly talks through her positive outlook on dealing with panic attacks. Some funny, light hearted stories come up like how the girls spent two hours troubleshooting how to watch a movie even though they call themselves Millennials.

I Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Much to talk through this week as our girl Carly has tested positive for COVID-19. This week the girls keep it low-key and Brooke asks Carly everything about her symptoms, what prompted her to seek testing, what the testing was like, and insight on the recovery process. Crazy to think the day this was recorded was the day Carly and Brooke were supposed to be running their first marathon. The girls reflect on how this pandemic has had an impact on their health and fitness and how they try to remain grateful and as healthy as they can. Again-hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during this time.

Nick Price: Runner Extraordinaire

Back to your regularly scheduled programming this week because THE GIRLS HAVE A GUEST! Don’t worry - no social distancing rules were broken in the making of this ep. Carly and Brooke are talking to their good friend Nick Price this week because he runs too!! Nick was a D1 collegiate runner and has recently gotten back into it as a hobby after some much needed time off. The girls get his insight on why he started running, what it was like being a college athlete, burning out, and what brought him back to the streets! Whether you’re totally new to running or are mourning the cancellation of your race, this is a great listen because Nick has a ton of knowledge and insight plus he’s funny and great to talk to! Enjoy :-)

Coping During Corona

Back at it again, Carly and Brooke return with an episode about almost nothing. Before recording this week they wondered, “should we bother this week with pretty much nothing to talk about?!” But with the thought of being a distraction for even ONE person right now, they press on. So they’re back discussing the best popcorn brands, Netflix comedy special recommendations, conspiracy theories, AND a bit of health and fitness. It’s been hard out there for everyone right now and they want you to know that it’s important that to just keep going even if it’s hard to be the best version of ourselves right now!!
