Hold my ....!: Learning the hard way?

14m · Taking The L: Laugh. Life. Love. · 01 Feb 22:37

Today is more of a rant/story time. I just wanted to share my thoughts on learning the hard way. There is no better teacher than the insane professor everyone hates because he teaches an intro class like an entire graduate program, because just to pass you need to stick with it and learn every time you get the opportunity. Then secretly cry in the closet at 2 am and eat ice cream. Because life is the entire last two sentences a series of highs expectations with breakdowns in odd places were you take every opportunity to learn.

Flirting 101: What the research says?

I went out and brew over this idea for a while. How do you effectively flirt. I asked my friends how do they like to be flirted with and it all a seemed very contradicting it seemed as if everyone liked a different approach. So I could not pin point what made flirt successful or what made it clear that is working. I went were I could find an answer and that was in a journal about social behaviour. In the journal I found a paper that made all the difference.

I found out that there was 5 different types of flirting styles and each one is marked by a different approach and how well it is perceived and if that flirting approach is going to be successful.

Tone Deafness: When everything you are doing doesn't land?

What do I mean with Tone Deafness. Tone Deafness is all about everything you are trying is just not working out. It says more about the person you are trying to flirt with than about yourself. I noticed that a lot of people don't notice when you are flirting with them. It says more about them than about you. It is simple they can not perceive the tone in which you are conversing. Thus, they are tone deaf.

People who are tone deaf most of the time need more to be convinced that they are worth the attention and appreciation of others. It also is about understanding your worth as a person. I will delve deeper into the concept and idea of self worth on a different occasion but this time we are discussing the story of my friend who went out on dates several times without being sure if they are dating or not.

Communication

In this episode I am breaking down why any type of communication is important. It is good to keep up communication even if you don't feel like talking. Keeping up communication is important because communication is the only way to improve the nature of your relationship. You have to sometimes force yourself if you want to keep up.

Girls only like Bad Boys, Myth?

In this episode I am talking a very thought and talked about phrase girls only like bad boys. In this I go a little on a tangents capturing many different angles on the myth but I get back to it. I want to look at it as a comeback from hiatus while working on the following episodes. I really loved working on this and this puts my thoughts about the phrase together. I ended it with distinguishing between good and nice. I forgot to add so much more about the phrase and angles on the show.

Taking it slow and why it is nothing to worry about.

I just wanted to point out that sometimes it takes patience to succeed in a relationship. It is important to adjust to the speed of your partner because who wants to take it slow. There is only 3 reasons why they would like to take their time. It is patience that eventually makes all couples succeed in relationships. Patience with each other and with oneself.
