Of Songs and Subtleties: Sheena O. Murray

During a time of chaos and transition, Nyah and Darius lighten things up just. bit with multidisciplinary artist, Sheena O. Murray.

Sheena O. Murray is a vocalist, songwriter, and actress currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in Jamaica, she moved to the U.S. at a young age, where she discovered a growing passion for performance art and decided to pursue theater in high school at Dillard Center for the arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With a soulful, soft, and sultry sound, Sheena prides herself on her range as a Mezzo Soprano, - her ability to hit highs, lows, and in-betweens. Stepping into musical theatre, Sheena has landed roles as Lorrell in Dreamgirls, Aunt Em and Glinda in The Wiz, Medda Larkin in Newsies, and more recently, Rose Parks in Walk On: the Story of Rosa Parks (which toured the eastern United States).

Of Soul, Soil and Nutrients: Marnino Toussaint

Darius and Nyah speak to the multi-talented Marnino Toussaint.
Marnino Toussaint, is a South Florida-based Poet, Singer , rapper, and art educator who has worked alongside the likes of actors Omari Hardwick and Victoria Justice, author Mary Pope Osborne and has opened for Hip Hop legend, Chuck D.
Marnino also had the opportunity to perform at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, California as part of their ceremony honoring musical legend and activist, Harry Belafonte. While he loves to sing about love, Marnino lives to inspire activism and connectivity in his community.
Marnino gives back to the community by teaching poetry and songwriting workshops as part of the Art Prevails Project.

She is a Florida barred entertainment, business, and soft IP attorney who focuses on empowering independent artists and businesses in the entertainment and music industries through legal & industry education. Somara truly believes that for an independent artist or business to succeed, they should know as much about the contracts and laws that affect them as their lawyers do.
To make this possible, Somara shares legal information and education through informational posts on her social media. She’s also held two sold-out group classes for independent artists - an IRL Copyright Seminar in 2019 and the Trademark Like An Attorney Webinar this year in 2020.
