Hebrew vs. Hebrew - A Search for Understanding
Before the Supreme Court is the topic of Affirmative Action. Colleges and Universities argue that diversity is important for campuses. The basis of the argument is that diversity will assist in students learning and understanding others from different backgrounds and cultures. However, the only way this is accomplished is if students step out of their comfort zones and branch out to learn about others. I have strived to do this throughout my academic career, but my friendship with Kyle Jones comes a bit unexpected. A Jewish man at an HBCU Law School is not uncommon, but not to be expected. But Kyle, a fellow FSU diehard fan, and I met and have been friends over the years. Anyways, he joins me on the podcast to discuss Kyrie Irving, Kanye West, and Black and Jewish Relations. Let me just give provide you with a spoiler. He thinks Black people are Hebrews too, but he addresses the issues related to the documentary posted by Kyrie, and why the apology was not accepted by his community. This podcast is for everyone. This podcast is for those that find it difficult to have tough conversations with others outside of those that do not look like them, pray like them and etc. This podcast is for those that won’t take the time to watch the documentary or read the Anti-Defamation League website to get an understanding of the issues with the documentary. This podcast is for those that want truth and to understand the history and the commonalities between Black and Jewish people in the U.S. and abroad. This is a podcast of positivity and seeks understanding instead of divisiveness. Trust me, every question you have about Kyrie, Kyle and I address it.

I’m joined by Ferrisa to discuss the infamous photograph that lit up Beyoncé’s internet. A graduate at Florida A&M University decided to take a nude photograph, on campus, and in front of the school’s newest symbol of excellence. We’ve seen plenty of opinions regarding this, but we took some time to have a more in-depth conversation. This one comes to you from graduates of both Florida A&M University and Howard W. Blake High School.
