Here to Stomp the Stigma today is Joanne Toller.  Just about 3 ½ years ago her daughter, Taylor Toller, was murdered by Taylor’s boyfriend at the time, who later also killed his own parents.  This episode dives into Joanne’s grief, trauma, and healing journey following the loss of her daughter.  As a former addict herself, Joanne understands how a drug induced psychosis could lead to these tragic events, and has even forgiven her daughter’s killer.  She also started the Taylor Toller Memorial Fund in Taylor’s honor, to raise money for mental health, addiction, and family violence.

Stomp the Stigma is focused on the mental health aspect but if you would like to hear more about the case you can check it out on Joanne’s sister’s true crime podcast, A Million Other Choices.
