Emina is a speech pathologist and mental health clinician with experience working with young people and their families across education, mental health and not-for-profit sectors. She also works at La Trobe as a lecturer and research academic. In this episode we chat about Emina’s career pathway, her passion for literacy and the importance of ensuring balance. HELLO LOVELY PEOPLE!! HAPPY SPEECH PATHOLOGY AUSTRALIA WEEK!!

We are back with such a great episode and we can't wait to share it with you!

In today's episode we chat to Laura Morrison. Laura has worked as a Speech Pathologist in rural, regional and metropolitan areas in Australia, as well as the UK, focusing on dysphagia and acquired communication disorders in the adult population within both the public and private sectors. In this episode we pick Laura's brain about her specialist knowledge in treating patients with a progressive neurological condition with emphasis on quality of life in palliative populations. Laura's current roles include specialist MND clinic, residential aged care and outpatient dysphagia clinic.  We discuss Laura's research project in oral health, and also the communication of safe eating and drinking within the healthcare system. Laura opened our eyes to so many areas that we were not so familiar with, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to have such a rich conversation with Laura.
