ASUW Senators and Executives sat down at a roundtable with U.S. Representative from Wyoming Liz Cheney. Put together by the ASUW Director of Governmental and Community Affairs, the event was put together in a matter of two days. Discussion with Rep. Cheney included topics about tourism in Wyoming, the fossil fuel industry, the cost of college and food insecurity for students. While the roundtable was behind closed doors, Rep. Cheney sat down with us following the roundtable for an interview where we got to speak a little more in-depth about some of the topics, particularly one relevant to students at the University of Wyoming.
