The high school days, such a magical time isn't it? Okay maybe not completely, but it still can and should be! Despite some challenges, I really enjoyed high school. I have mostly great memories of it. I would probably not do it again, but overall content with how it all played out. That being said, there were some things that I wish I knew in high school that could've made the experience better. And I'm going to share those with you today.

Teenage Challenges All Parents Should Know
Have you watched the news lately? I hope not, it's almost not worth it. But it's safe to say the climate out there is intense. And I'm not talking about the weather. Though the weather hasn't been that fun either (Hello, Florida Summer). A lot weighs on my mind when it comes to raising my children and hoping they can withstand the challenges they'll face, specifically teenage challenges. The youth of today are on my mind often and I think today is a good day to share what I believe are the biggest teenage challenges that all parents should know.

The other day I took my kids to Disney World. Cool, right? I live about two hours from there, so we go roughly once a month. We are pretty spoiled in that way. We’ve been doing this for about two years now, and I was pushing them in the stroller down Main Street in 90 degree weather with 100% humidity, I had this memory come back to me. A memory that I had completely forgotten about until that moment. It’s a lesson I learned from my late cousin and it was all about how to start making memories with your children. And yes, now I’ll share it with you!

Just the other day while I was getting ready, I had YouTube running around in the background as I normally do. I'm a recovering YouTube addict, except I've never been officially diagnosed and I'm not recovering.... Anyway, this video came on of this Preacher, of a faith I don't belong to, was discussing the suicide of his child. His message really spoke to me on how to deal with tragedy. I've heard this message before, but it hit me different this time. Maybe it will for you too.

Can I tell you something I am seeing way too much of? I mean, WAY too much! It's how easily offended people are. Are you seeing this too? It's absolutely everywhere, I can't believe it. This is no way to live. The world shouldn't be made of thin ice that all of us must carefully walk around hoping not to fall through. Life is to be enjoyed and seeing the good in others. We're going to talk about how!
