#46: Avoiding Burnout and Slowing Down with Taylor Wray

40m · Hey Preslie Podcast · 07 Jul 07:00

In this episode I am joined, for the second time, by yoga instructor, meditation teacher and founder of Livin in Flow, Taylor Wray (@taylor_wrayyoga). She first joined us on episode #11 in July 2018 with her now fiance, Tommy Mac, and is back solo to speak to a wider variety of topics. She’s a teacher to teachers — educating individuals on how to lead yoga and mindfulness in a way that’s all-encompassing.

In this conversation we discuss:

  • How service providers (particularly hourly employees) can pivot their business to be more sustainable long-term
  • Ways to think about slowing down when your body is begging for rest
  • How to work through a major identity shift (i.e. when you can’t or don’t want to do what you’re known for anymore)
  • A conversation about self-care, meditation and self-awareness that’s super realistic and approachable
  • Ways to set yourself up for success and avoid burnout after experiences that demand a lot of your energy
