Macy's Stars of Dance performed for the School of Rock theme week featuring 'kid musicians from School of Rock' and performers from The Powerhouse Choir from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California.
School of Rock teaches music to students from second grade to high school in a revolutionary way. Their approach combines the personal attention of individual lessons with the motivation provided by rehearsing and playing live with peers.Kathleen Pleasants will be interviewing Tom Mitchell, Jody Bagley & Jason Simmons who are not only teachers at the SoR but also band members of The Blue Moonies, along with Tristan Faulk-Webster, an Eclectic up-beat band that is hard to sit still to.
We will also talk with Max Peterson, a student at the School of Rock in Vista, CA, he will share his performance experiences so far. The teachers at the SoR help each student realize their potential through music, on stage and in life.They prepare your child to be an integral part of a band, whatever instrument they may want to learn.
