Eliminating Weight Stigma with Dawn Clifford, PhD, RD

In this episode, I talk with Dawn Clifford, PhD, RD, from the Department of Health Sciences at NAU. Dawn is a Professor at Northern Arizona University. She teaches courses in nutrition education and behavior change counseling and has experience implementing and directing university-based health coaching programs. Dr. Clifford conducts research and is an accomplished speaker in the areas of motivational interviewing and non-diet approaches to health and wellness. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and is the author of 5-Minute MI: Motivational Interviewing in Nutrition and Health When Time is Short and co-author of Motivational Interviewing in Nutrition and Fitness.

Battling Food Insecurity on College Campuses with Azah and Kristen

In this episode, I talk with Kirsten Morale and Azah Quach. Azah is a recent NAU grad! She oversees the free campus food pantry, Louie's Cupboard, and assists with other emergency services. Kristen is also a recent NAU grad and is the Sustainability Specialist for Campus Dining. Listen in as we explore the issue of food insecurity, how it relates to sustainability, and what resources are available for those who may be struggling with food insecurity.
