After years of coaching and research, Kira came up with a frustrating conclusion. Most people who are looking for love and relationships really have no idea what healthy and real love and relationships look like and feel like.
So let’s think, if we didn’t get a chance to learn much from our family, where else do we see the inner workings of dating and relationships in our culture? Media. Movies, TV and Books.
We need to get real about these relationship role models that we are using as a guide for our own. As much as we love them, they are not real. Even if we say we know that they are not real, the unconscious messaging that we get from media day in and day out starts to mess with our heads.
