Primatologist Dian Fossey devoted her entire life to the study and conservation of Mountain Gorillas but made many enemies while doing so. 

When her favorite gorilla, Digit, was brutally murdered while trying to protect his family, the hate between primatologist and poachers came to a head and eventually Dian Fossey was found dead in her cabin, bludgeoned to death with a machete.
