End the trapping of animals for fur and wildlife control

More animals are caught for the fur trade in the United States, than anywhere else in the world. Fur trappers catch between 3-5 million every year.
Not only are wild animals caught in traps, non target animals, including our cats and dogs, are also being snared.
To learn more about trapping, its’ effect on wild and domestic animals, and how to campaign against this barbarity, please visit bancrueltraps.com

Your ticket to a dolphin show turns the Cove red

While your children are being entertained by the “smiling” dolphins performing tricks in a tiny pool, and you’re fulfilling your dream of swimming with them,  Japanese fishermen in Taiji, Japan, are setting out nets to trap entire pods of dolphins, chasing them to the point of exhaustion, cornering them in the Cove, then stabbing them with sharp spears, as they scream in pain. Still living dolphins are hauled into fishing boats using hooks, while they set off to a life of captivity, leaving behind a blood filled ocean.
Mark Palmer, Associate Director of Save Japan Dolphins will be joining me, as we talk candidly about dolphin slaughter in Japan, the part all of you play in it, and how to fight to end it. Before you spend another penny supporting the exploitation of dolphins, it is your responsibility to understand what you are supporting.

Creating stronger anti cruelty laws

On today’s show, we’re going to be talking about more ways we can use the legal system, to help save animals. Our first topic will be, about the creation of an animal abuse registry. If this legislation is passed, it would require mandatory registering of convicted animal abusers, and community notification for where they settle. We will also be talking about National Justice for Animals Week, an annual event designed to raise public awareness of cruelty, educate on how to report abuse, and help create stronger laws. Join me as I welcome back Joyce Tischler, co-founder of Animal Legal Defense Fund, to talk about using the law to help save animals.
