Shakeem was a shrewd man who coveted his neighbor’s axe. He devised a scheme to get his neighbor to bend and allow him to borrow the axe. The businessman could not meet his commitment neither could he rescue his daughter. The daughter’s alertness helped her observe the shrewdness of the loan-shark and avert her marriage to him.
