Episode 17 - Virtual NAAM Round Up / Slash's Guitar Strings

NAAM was a bit different this year (for obvious reasons), but that hasn't stopped us from looking at all the announcements and releases. As it was a virtual event we even got to attend...kind of! We chat about what we liked, didn't like and what bemused us. Plus Mark gives us his verdict on Slash's signature string set from Ernie Ball. Will this signature string set annoy just as much as the Jimi Hendrix guitar lead? Only one way to find out. We also discuss Gearslutz and if it's time to change the name of this infamous forum. Hit that play button!

Episode 16 - RIP Alexi Laiho & EVH

With the sad news of the passing of Children of Bodom lead guitarist frontman Alexi Laiho and Eddie Van Halen back in 2020 we pay tribute to both these amazing guitarists and discuss their legacy. We also chat about other musicians who have passed away and what impact they had on us.

We also chat about the big Gibson acquistion of Mesa Boogie, and what this might mean for both companies and Mesa amps. Oh and as always what music we've been working on what we're listening to. We even end up discussing a bit of music theory on modes! Hit that play button!

RIP Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho. Legend!

On this episode we briefly discuss pop music and what's going on in the charts (thanks Rick Beato), why we aren't discovering much new music at the moment.  Vish has a wrist injury update. We talk making music and trying to stay productive during lockdown. We also chat bass and gear. Vish bought another new bass. What bass? Why? Hit play to find out. We ramble on about a whole host of topics.
