La carence en calcium chez les vaches laitières

La carence en calcium est répandue chez les vaches laitières à haute production. Une vache souffrant de carence en calcium ne mange pas assez, son corps est froid au toucher, elle est fatiguée et ne peut se tenir debout. Elle donne moins de lait. Elles risquent de mourir si elles ne sont pas traitées. Pour prévenir la carence en calcium, ne décornez pas vos vaches. Laissez les vaches prendre du soleil pendant les heures de fraîcheur afin qu’elles produisent plus de vitamine D et absorbent plus de calcium. Donnez aux vaches du fourrage à base de légumineuses, de maïs et des feuilles d’arbres riches en calcium. Donnez aux vaches un mélange de minéraux soit dans de l’eau ou dans de la nourriture. Après l’allaitement, donnez à chaque vache un panier d’herbe fraîche. La vidéo contient de nombreux autres conseils pratiques.
