Pour valoriser la culture locale et encourager un mode de vie sain, il est important que les écoles incluent des sujets sur l'agriculture et l'alimentation traditionnelle dans leur programme et leurs activités. Tisser des éléments liés à l'agroécologie dans le programme scolaire de tous les niveaux. En organisant des visites de champ, les enfants peuvent apprendre des agriculteurs sur les variétés locales, les pratiques culturales écologiques et les outils agricoles. Vous pouvez créer une salle dédiée à la culture agricole locale où les enfants peuvent lire des livres, regarder des vidéos, exposer leurs œuvres d'art et jouer à des jeux. Dans un jardin scolaire, les enseignants, les élèves et les parents peuvent faire pousser des cultures et d'autres plantes. Il est important d'offrir des repas scolaires sains avec des ingrédients locaux.
