When life doesn't go as expected, it can lead to us experiencing a range of negative states and emotions. The two that are the biggest threats to men are anger and depression. Anger has pushed many men to make dire mistakes that ruined their lives and hurt others, and depression combined with the lack of training to unpack and communicate emotions has led to men committing suicide at a rate 3.5 times higher than women. Lesleigh Tolin, a grief recovery specialist and the guest in this week's episode of Himprovement, explains how most negativity that we go through mentally, like the examples given, falls under the umbrella of grief.
