Excessive Rumination: Episode 3 - Rick Jones

2h 6m · I'm Glad You Exist · 14 Aug 11:00

We've got a doozy of an episode today!

Joining me in studio is local renaissance man, Rick Jones.

I was introduced to Rick as an incredibly talented and soulful songwriter, but he's known throughout the world as, literally, one of the UK's strongest men. If ever the adage of 'gentle giant' was appropriate, it's here. But don't mistake stoicism and modesty for a lack of conviction, Rick is happy to speak his truth and let others decide how they feel on that. It culminates in a fascinating conversation about life, the natural laws of reality and how we see each other.

Content warning for this episode: This episode contains some swearing and we also dive into heavy topics including child abuse, pedophilia, rape culture and political ideologies. If those subjects are potentially upsetting or distressing for you then it might be worth giving this one a miss. We don't linger in any one topic too long, but it's worth being aware.

OH DAMN, it doesn't get much more personally special for me as far as guests go!
