Financial Anxiety & Making a Budget Your B*tch

20m · Meant for More · 22 Jan 14:00

Well! Time to have 'the talk'...

It's going to be uncomfortable and they'll be all sorts of emotions and thoughts flyin' around! But it's time to get down to the nitty gritty and think of what's at stake here. Our future, and our children's future, and their children's future!

No no, not THAT  'talk'. The other one, the money talk. YIKES - who's anxiety just went #@$%&*!

Finances are really hard to manage when we don't talk or think about them. Like pretty much impossible to manage if we don't talk or think about them. But that discussion with yourself, your partner, or a financial professional is pretty awful. Especially when you've made as many bad calls as I have with my finances. Having to face the consequences of habitual spending, over spending, over financing, living beyond your means...

I swear I should have had that tattooed on me "Too Busy Living Beyond My Means" haha Such an inspiration!

BUT - I'm not ashamed of it. I needed to experience these things in order to learn what I know now and actually WANT to make changes.

One Ticket to Lonely-Lane, Please!

This week's episode is an upclose and personal look at the current case of loneliness I've been fighting with since being home full time. Not to be confused with being ungrateful for the incredible opportunity I have been given. However going from a very social job to Self Employment has been a HUGE shift in more ways than expected. Dig in! See ya next week pal!

Built a Bridge to Get Over it - A Mental Health Metaphor

From Crazy town to... well Who knows!

This little quickie is just me sharing with you my mental health metaphor.

I use this as a tool to remind myself how far I've come and the road I have ahead of me.

Visualization has been a large part of my healing and understanding and I thought I'd share my method :)

Getting Demoted & Choosing to be Grateful for it

There I was in the midst of a pandemic having just been laid off for two months thinking I was going back to work in the same role I was in when the world flipped upside down. To then realizing nothing was going back to normal. For what should have and would have normally destroyed me - actually turned out to be a blessing. So this episode is about choosing gratitude when you feel like you have nothing to be grateful for.
