Ryan Martin is a 23-year-old cyclist living in Guelph, Ont. This summer he cycled across Canada to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association. It’s a cause that’s close to home for Ryan, as he has been dealing with anxiety and depression for years, and most recently, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. We share stories of people who have been affected by mental health related issues to create community, conversation and ultimately shine a light on mental health.

Vicki Olatundun is a persuasive, high-octane, powerful, passionate motivational speaker. She is the author of Unleash Your Crazy to Win, a touching story of her personal struggle and how she turned that into an opportunity to obtain business success. She is a former Attorney turned Social Justice Advocate, known for her visionary abilities as a Non-profit Strategist and leader while making a sustainable difference to Canadians over the last 15 years.

 

In 2014, she was a nominee for the prestigious Woman of Distinction Award and in 2015 she was declared a “Change Maker,” one of Canada’s 40 women who are making Canada a better place by Canadian Living Magazine. Vicki was honored by the Manitoba Legislative Assembly for her community service for families in 2016 and in the same year she became the proud recipient of the coveted Non-Profit Excellence Award from the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce. 2017 saw her team nominated again for the same award. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Professional Development and is also a Chartered Human Resource Professional.

 

In addition to her 2018 SHE Day talk she continues to powerfully share with others what has led her down the uncommon path of also becoming a Road Safety Warrior.
