It’s late at night. I’ve been waiting for hours to be produced. Be excited. Be motivated. To create content!
Before you start a blog, podcast, or YouTube channel, ask yourself:
- Why do I want to put myself out there?
- Why do I want to create content for other people to consume?
- Can I make a commitment to create and publish content?
Doubts and fears that come with creating content can stop you in your tracks. Do you believe that your content is important and worthy of an audience? Are you afraid that people who like, respect, and know you will think your posts are dumb and boring?
If you’re thinking about creating and producing content online, this is my advice:
- Get over the emotional hurdle of creating content
- Build a following
- Create unique and value-added content
Create content to give something back to society and help others. Be willing to look foolish in the name of progress. Let your content be consumed and critiqued.
Learn to continue, even as you mess things up. You’ll get better, build an audience, and find people who appreciate what you have to say. Make the world a better place!
Show Notes:
- Lesson Learned: You can’t rely on anyone else to motivate, inspire, or produce you.
- Motivation: Create value, not only consume value.
- Commitment: Be consistent in creating content.
- Create content for the right reasons.
- Never, ever stop - no matter your doubts.

164: Random Beach Musings From Halkidiki
I’ve been spending the last few weeks of summer at the beach in Halkidiki and have made a daily ritual of swimming in the ocean each morning. While the water here is typically known to be gentle and serene, it recently has been much more turbulent and unsettled. I’ve had to adjust my swimming technique to navigate the rocky waves and trust in my body to adapt to the tumultuous conditions.
This experience reminded me of a lesson that is true of many things in life - the journey is more enjoyable when you can freely flow with the waves that come your way. Diving into this thought more and some of the philosophical musings I’ve been pondering from my time at the beach.

163: Krishnamurti on the Simple Truth Within You
We won't find truth outside of us. There's no system, no organized set of teachings, no framework of thinking that will lead us to truth. Ultimately, the only place where we find truth is within ourselves. Reading passages from Jiddu Krishnamurti's Total Freedom reminded me once again of this big adventure that awaits each of us: to seek within ourselves.

162: I Lost My Teeth (And Maybe a Bit of My Mind) In a Weird Dream
I’ve been having so many intense, vivid dreams lately - so intense that I feel tired and unsettled even after waking up. I knew these dreams were trying to tell me something about myself that I couldn’t see with open eyes during the day, but I didn’t feel like analyzing them or dealing with them in the moment. But one of the dreams that I couldn’t shake is a very common dream that many people experience, but one that is pretty unusual for me - dreaming that my teeth are falling out. In this episode I do some live dreamwork to decode and dissect the underlying message this dream was trying to reveal to me.
