Carl Kent-Smith is a super collector in the niche sub-culture of Japanese and Asian vinyl toys. Though we both live in Los Angeles, we met on Skullbrain.org nearly 20 years ago. This was a message board devoted strictly to obscure toys by the likes of Secret Base, Real Head, Gargamel and Bounty Hunter. In this episode we talk the exodus from the Kid Robot message board , scoring Kaws toys for retail, and the state of affairs in the scene today.
