Zach Mona is a typical Aussie bloke, who loves his football, cricket and waterpolo. He’s a father to 3 children and is a son to a father who is from Papua New Guinea, while his mother is Australian.

Zach is a pretty laid back guy who takes a lot in his stride, however last football season he was subjected to racism on the football field during a grand final match that rocked him.

He’s chosen to speak out about the incident and what effect it had on not only him but also his wife, children and father.

Zach speaks honestly about not only this particular incident, but what it’s been like for him growing up as a Man of Colour.

In the prime of his life back in 2014 life took a sharp turn for James. He was involved in an on-field collision playing the game he grew up loving in Aussie Rules Football for the Albury Tigers. Medically diagnosed with quadriplegia he is forced to spend the next 300 plus days in hospital and rehab - life as he knew it was about to change.

James openly shares with us the journey from a fit, active and healthy young man in his early 20’s, to learning to live in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. S2E5 - Terrianne Hicks

This episode of FYI - All Things Mental Wellness is powered by Border Carpets https://bordercarpets.com.au

Terrianne Hicks lives in Country Victoria, she is married, and has three beautiful healthy young girls. She is vivacious, brave and full of life! What else would a woman want?

Unfortunately, though her eldest daughter began fighting a battle that was going to not only change her own life as she knew it, but the life of her entire family.

Terrianne (with her Daughter’s approval) openly shares with us the heartbreak, the ups the downs, and everything in between living with Anorexia Nervosa and Purging. What life looked like in the darkest hours, how they got through each day, and how they navigated the mental health system.

Thank goodness Terrianne is a fighter and resilient because she required plenty of fight to wade through our mental health system that unfortunately still today is grossly underfunded compared to physical health system.
