80. Disrupting Our Own Story of What it Means to Truly See Ourselves with Michelle Madrid

48m · Embracing Enough · 20 Apr 13:23

In this week's episode, Dina sits down with friend, Michelle Madrid, an author, coach and motivational speaker. As an international adoptee herself, Michelle listens deeply to women and adoptees to help them get what they really want out of life, as they renew their joy and reignite their radiant light. In her own words, Michelle says: "I’m here to guide you to the abundance that you deserve, as you align yourself in mind, body, and spirit with your truest voice and identity."

Dina and Michelle talk about everything in this episode: from learning to love yourself, to getting off the hamster wheel of accomplishment and chasing what everyone expects you to chase, to letting go of the belief that "you should just be happy already", to being your most unapologetic self. We talk about what it took for Michelle to disrupt her own path to pursue her life's mission.

Michelle will be releasing her new book in October 2023 through New World Library and more can be read about her on her website www.themichellemadrid.com

98. Underestimated: The Wisdom and Power of Teenage Girls

This episode kicks off Season 5 which we have decided to dedicate entirely to reclaiming your inner teenage girl.

And what better way to do so by sitting down with Chelsey Goodan, the author of Underestimated: The Wisdom and Power of Teenage Girls.

This incredible book offers a completely fresh, unexpected, and empowering guide to better understand - and learn from - teenage girls. We get to hear in Chelsey's own words why the world fears teenage girls and how that fear is used to silence them.

Underestimated is a course correction to help girls unleash their intrinsic wisdom and celebrate them for their value rather than trying to fix them. This book along with this exciting episode will vastly improve your relationship with the teenage girl in your life; not to mention your relationship with your own inner teenager.

97. Peeling Back the Layers of What it "REALLY" has Looked Like to be a Disrupter

In this final episode of Season 4, I go in and peel back the layers on what it has really felt like to be a disrupter this year. I let you into the not-so-glamorous parts of full-time entrepreneurship, navigating my own interpretations of success and failure, and giving myself grace for charting my own path in a way I never have before. In this episode, I hope you walk away feeling both inspired and empowered to get messy in 2024 and to more importantly celebrate the effort that you put into the things you want. Because in the end, that is what matters way more than the GOAL itself.

This is a vulnerable episode for me - but I only thought it fair to give you a peek inside of the sometimes dark underbelly of being a disrupter - and while still in the midst of the lows, it's all still beautiful.

96. Disrupting Our Story of Feeling Disempowered with Elaine Hamilton

But this isn’t just any story: it’s a testament to the human spirit's ability to rewrite and redefine.

In this deeply reflective episode, we invite listeners to pull up a chair and join us in a raw and vulnerable conversation about the power of transforming your story. Elaine shares poignant anecdotes, lessons learned, and the pivotal moments that prompted her to shift her perspective. From confronting past traumas to embracing newfound passions, we uncover the transformative power of self-awareness and intentionality. Our hope is that you will be inspired to reflect on their narratives, questioning whether their current story aligns with their authentic selves.

Together, we challenge the notion that we are passive characters in our tales, urging listeners to become active authors of their destinies. Tune in as we navigate the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength, providing a safe space for listeners to explore their stories' potential shifts.

Join us for a heartfelt conversation that promises to challenge, inspire, and empower. Because sometimes, all it takes is a shift in perspective to rewrite the story of a lifetime.
