Chasing greatness BY taking care of others.

-

If there is one thing that stands out about Brandon Ellis it is his insane work ethic which is driven by his care for others. Brandon is the guy he wishes he would have had earlier on in his own personal fitness journey and somebody that inspires us at MAP to keep pursuing our best selves. In the midst of opening Unrivaled Barbell, Brandon went into prep for his first bodybuilding show transitioning over from the powerlifting world in which he is an accomplished lifter posting an EASY 1720lb Raw total in the 242lb weight class. It is impossible to not be a better, more fulfilled version of self just from spending a few hours with this guy!

Cheat Codes: Enjoying the Process

Carson Propps has been a part of MAP since nearly the very beginning. He was a kid who had PLENTY of raw talent when he showed up, but over the course of the next two years of training in high school went on to break the barrier for first athlete to a 40" vertical jump at MAP (adding almost 10" to his jump while at MAP), running up a sub 1.0 30yd flying 10 yard sprint, and deadlifting over 500lbs. The traits required to do these feats, which we refer to as the Triple 3 at MAP due to how special it is, is what we believe set Carson Propps apart and allowed him to progress to such a high level in training. Following his time at MAP, Carson realized he truly just loved training; the process of it, the camaraderie it brings, and the joy experienced when you get past a sticking point. Although it was one of the hardest conversations to have when he decided to hang up the uniform as an athlete, he's still being just as impactful if not even more impactful now in the lives of those around him.

-

Consistent, disciplined, joyful, optimistic, curious; each of these words describe Carson to a T and set a foundation for him to be able to accomplish this at that age. Those same traits he built upon more throughout sport and training will be the same traits that will allow him to do incredible things throughout and after college as he enters into his career.

The Work is Worth It

Winning opens up a door to some of the best experiences possible. When asked how it feels to have to sacrifice the things she has had to in order to gain the opportunities she has, Harlie had one quote that stood out “In the end I wouldn't want to be doing any other thing.”

-

Harlie is one of the up and coming softball phenoms here in the US as one of the top softball recruits in her class. Recently, we got the chance to sit down with her and get a huge overview on what it has taken for her to be in the position she currently is, the difficulties and joy of the triumphs that come with it, and the JOY that comes from the work paying off.
