This is for the haters
Who claim to be supporters
Cheering for you
While harshly judging you
They claim to be critics
As they break your spirit
Not realizing the damage
Their words have managed
Rattling your insecurity
Increasing your anxiety
Setting you on edge
As you wonder, Am I worthy of the stage
Now you have a creative block
Some sort of Mental block
You’ve Lost the creativity
Now you are Doubting your ability
All you want to do is express yourself
Work on your art and improve yourself
You may not be as good as one of the greats
But one day you might be great
You are hearing voices
Hey you wannabe
You ain’t got what it takes to be
The next Jay Z
Stage 2 setting in
As you close yourself in
Trying to isolate
Before it’s to late
Are youLosing your mind
Is this what happens to your kind
It’s a slippery slope
You ain’t got a rope
Which will pull you up
To help you stand up
To boost your self esteem
So you can get that personal win
Looking for inspiration
some sort of motivation
To help this blow to your emotion
To remind you, that you are worthy for all your dedication
You need to look in the mirror and tell yourself
You don’t need validation
To keep doing your creation
To please anyone
Cause you got close friends and family to look up to
Your biggest supporters
When your fail
Your biggest supporters
When you rise
Cause they don’t laugh or put you down
When you try
Maybe it’s to much to ask
For them to believe in you
Take away from their precious time
To support you
Or are they waiting
For you to blow up
So they can show up
With a sign, your number one fan
Since day one!
Your not angry just frustrated
That hard work is not appreciated
To show some decency
Towards a man trying to live up to his ability
All yo want to do is make them proud
For they have always been around
All you want is them to applaud
For all your efforts out loud.

Black Lives Matter
Music by: AShamaluevMusic Music found on Soundcloud: Inspirational Ambient - Uplifting Background Music Instrumental (FREE DOWNLOAD) Black lives matter Is a serious matter It’s not just a phrase But a strong case Against brutality Caused by white supremacy By those who promised to serve and protect Upholding the law Not realizing the devastating effect I have a dream So many people scream Famously uttered by Martin Luther King Fighting for this very reason To stand up against discrimination To end bigotry and segregation To be part of a civilized nation Where your not judged by the color of your skin Where you’re no longer a minority And there is equality Unfortunately it’s still a dream Cause we are living a nightmare of a reality You ask what’s the matter Black lives matter It’s not a fancy hash tag To put on a T-shirt Like some graphite art It is a strong message Representing the many affected, different ages Living in fear Wondering is this the year I get shot or beaten For asking a simple question Or crossing an intersection You’re filled with rage Cause one man took the stage To address this hate Kneeling to the anthem To shed light on this matter, Black lives matter Like Malcolm Now he is axed Cast away and isolated Cause he used his voice and presence To speak up against your ignorance To shatter your privileged arrogance On the subject matter, black lives matter How many deaths will it take To see a mothers heart break, ache See her child on the news Become a headline, breaking news Not for prizes or accolades But a photo, deceased due to hate Are you so blinded by the system That you don’t realize we live in a broken system Where whites can carry guns and protest But blacks can’t even go to the grocery store without a consent Are we really in a first world country Where politicians pretend to try To understand this grave matter Blacks lives matter Where they only care about their congressional seats Making fake promises of reform Making glorified speeches, we understand But when the time comes, they refuse to stand For the one matter, Black lives matter So have we really progressed as a nation What is the measure of our progression The technological advancements of our generation Are we that naive that we can’t comprehend The simple human interactions Are broken and divided Because one race is considered superior And another inferior That is not progression That is a nation in regression Cause we can’t address what matters Black lives matters!
A Reflective Period
Music by: AShamaluevMusic
Music found on Soundcloud: Atmospheric Cinematic Ambient - Inspiring and Emotional Background Music (FREE DOWNLOAD)
It’s a reflective period
During this quarantine period
Regarding my character and behavior
On topics of sensitivity and candor
Not taken seriously
Is the image currently
Fueled by actions and moments
Of complete embarrassments.
Firstly I must apologize
As I do realize
I play a part, small or big
When being an absolute prick
I’m partly to blame
Assuming it’s fun and games
Using words not thinking
Whose hurting
Words are dangerous
They cut deeper
Then a knife through butter
Not realizing the person in front will suffer
Due to lack of common sense and character
We forget to be mindful for the simple things
Humility, generosity, kindness among other things
Quick to judge a book by its cover
Not take the time to read the first page
Cause the first impression is what matters
Maybe it’s the kid in me
Or the lack of maturity
Tarnishi ng my personality
Trying to be goofy
We are all guilty of this
Not realizing that actions have consequences
Inflicting stress on mans mental state
Setting him up for depression
A life time state
Bullying is a real thing
Social media ain’t playing
It’s a fun way to connect
But socially there is a disconnect
People ganging up on an individuals
Not realizing they are being cynical
Are We trying to climb a social chain
While acting like a complete pain
Towards those who love us
But respect us to much to tell us
Time to step back and reevaluate
Before it’s to late
reflect and be straight
Before people start to hate
The attitude
And tell us, stay away Dude.
We live in a world full of sensitivity
As education and technology
Advance beyond our capability
We must think before we speak
Even though the first amendment states freedom of speech
But there should be a disclaimer
Read the room and social cues
Before you speak
It’s not too late to act your age
Apply knowledge
And move past days of college
Use your maturity and sensibility
Because we are part of a community

Our Deepest Fear
Inspired by a Poem: Our Deepest Fear Poem: Marianne Williamson
Music by: AShamaluevMusic
Music found on Soundcloud: Uplifting Piano - Beautiful and Inspirational Background Music (FREE DOWNLOAD)
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
Beautiful, strong and pure
Don’t let the world bring you down based on
Your gender, race, faith, sexual orientation
Or your political affiliation
You’re unique one of kind
With a strong conscious mind
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us
Your kindness brings people together
When things don’t seem to be clear
Because it’s in your nature
To love, an emotion
That feels the heart with joy
But also great sorrow
When you lose someone dear making you hollow
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Stand in front of the mirror
See the reflection of a conqueror
One who has won battles of discrimination
Stood up to oppression
Sided truth during adversity
With every fiber of your ability
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God
You playing small
Does not serve the world
It only makes the hateful stronger
Because they have the power
To inflict pain
Cause you took the back seat again
Which is a shame
There is no one to blame
But you, for not standing up when we counted on you
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you
Your vulnerability is the essence of your humanity
Having the fear of failure
Makes you rise higher
Speak up for those that matter
That is the strength of your vulnerability
A strong asset of your personality
We were all meant to shine as children do
Full of life and happiness
Filled with curiosity and bravery
As well as innocence and creativity
Being an inspiration to a nation
Following our emotions
Cause we were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us
It’s not just in some of us
It’s in everyone
And as we let our own light shine
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same
Because at the end of the day we may be different but we are still the same
Burning inside with a flame
To make the world a better place
At a continued pace
Together, as we are liberated from our own fear
Our presences automatically liberates others.
