Ovarian cancer in the spotlight
Katie Salt, Information and Support Manager, and Val Lang, Nurse Adviser, chat about the ovarian cancer storylines in Channel 5's Neighbours and BBC's EastEnders. We cover how Neighbours portrayed Sonya Rebecchi's diagnosis and treatment, as well as elements of living with ovarian cancer such as talking to children and partner support. We also look at how EastEnders have managed their Jean Slater storyline so far, including the symptoms and misdiagnosis issues they've highlighted.
