Public Speaking and tips you should know!

34m · Kuinua Coaching Lifestyle and Business · 10 Mar 07:00

Roberta and Marie discuss public speaking. We talk do's and don't as well as strategies.

I am Roberta Ndlela, a public speaker and a coach. I started working with engineering companies in the mid-90s. My corporate career was a real eye-opener. I quickly came to realize that being a subject matter expert without soft skills would deter career progress. Those with communication and interpersonal skills climbed the corporate ladder much faster than introverted experts. Over the years I have continued to help business and career professionals with presentation skills, sales pitches, speech preparation, and overcoming the fear of public speaking. In addition, the benefits we have derived from technology and social media have also seen the deterioration of formal business communication. Texting language, abbreviations, and other new-age lingo continue to create a barrier between generations in corporate and business communications. Therefore, I also help professionals with business communication and etiquette, which results in them standing out and thereby accelerating their careers.
