Getting a big-name guest, whether it be a celebrity or industry expert, can seem impossible to an indie podcaster. Our guest, Angie Griffith, shares her top tips for landing the guest interview of your dreams!

Angie's "3 P's" for getting big-name guests on your show:

1. PITCHING: Prepare a one-sheet or pitch deck for your podcast; find a direct representative of the celebrity; have a clear and informative subject line; say why this guest is important to you; describe what your podcast is about; tell them why they would be a good fit for your podcast; say what qualifies you to speak on the subject; give the invitation and what you intend to discuss in the interview; attach one-sheet/pitch deck; follow-up.

2. PREPPING: Request assets in advance: the official bio, talking points, preferred promo photo; ask if there are any topics to avoid.

3. PREVIEWING: Give your guest the chance to review all of the assets before they go live: final edited interview; promotional graphics; show notes with links; where to find contact information.
