Support Failure

It can be so exhausting to be a supporter for someone struggling with an eating disorder, but if nothing else, just be a support, just letting someone know that you are there to fight along side with them to figure things out together is of the utmost importance, just as important as maintaining your own emotional, mental and physical support.

Episode Twelve - Self Harm, It May Not Be What You Think

As difficult as it is, when we find out, when we learn either on our own or by their own mouths, that our children, our loved ones are struggling and even self harming, we may need to just let them fight their fight, but it does not mean we ought not check in with them, in fact we need to let them know how much we care and support them.
