This week was the last onsite interview in the history of Pint Talking and got to hang out with Paoloa Vabuena and John Hill from Pulpo Brewing Co. in Willoughby Ohio. Pulpo is the first Latina women owned brewery in Ohio. They are associated with Barroco arepa bar and Hola Tacos. Paola and John talked to me about navigating the waters of tumultuous craft beer market in 2023 as well as increasing production to satisfy their needs of the other locations. During the interview we touched on potential future plans and what they feel is currently the best situation for Pulpo.

In this episode I am joined by one of my favorite guests Rick Armon. Rick is managing editor for the Canton Repository, a journalist since 1988, and a craft beer book author. The end is nigh. As we move closer to end of Pint Talking I finally tracked down the elusive John McGroarty fomrerly of Thirsty Dog, Butcher and Brewer, and HiHo Brewing Company. John is now out on his own and is the co-owner and brewer at Green Valley Brewing. We talked about his storied history as well as the putting together the plan for Green Valley in Hudson, Ohio. We discussed the beer that he perfected at his previous employer and all of the other amazing beers he is brewing at Green Valley.

This week I visited with friend of the show Jennifer Hermann at Bell Tower Brewing Company in Kent, Ohio. A year after our first visit we geeked out on our favorite beverage.
