Dave Krupa's brief relationship with Cari Farver ended rather abruptly. After that, however, he suddenly started receiving threatening and abusive messages and emails from her. Again and again, he also felt stalked and watched.

Soon the insults even extended to Dave's ex-partner Liz and other women Dave chatted with on dating apps and Facebook. The police found the case strange and could not imagine that Cari was the actual stalker.
