80. Why We Suffer as Christians

With all the ups and downs of life, it can be easy to wonder why unfortunate, uncomfortable, downright painful things happen to us. Throughout my life, and recently as a divorcé, I’ve found myself asking if God cares about my feelings or my circumstance. Sure, some suffering is self-inflicted, but what about the times when you’ve been striving to live an upright life and still experience suffering?

I've been going to God about this in prayer and in His word, and found so much comfort in the scriptures below. I break it all down in this episode and hope it helps you endure and overcome whatever suffering you've been faced with.

As we forget the past and focus on what God is doing in this present moment, we can take hold of God's promise to make a way in the wilderness and provide for our needs.
