As an attorney and former journalist, Kevin Blanchard recently joined the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Downtown Lafayette Unlimited (DLU) having started on February 1st. Previously, he served as the first-ever executive director of the Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority (LPTFA), and held various positions within the administration of former Mayor-President Joey Durel. Kevin has been actively involved in civic initiatives and was recognized for his contributions to the community, including leading the development of Lafayette's first comprehensive plan and amending the Lafayette City-Parish Charter in 2018.
