Angela admits to being fascinated by animals, medicine, psychology, unexplained phenomena, chickens, and “just about everything” except sports. Books, she says, have always shaped her life— in the fifth grade she learned how to flirt from reading Gone with the Wind.

Also in 2006, Angela completed her Master of Biblical Studies in Theology degree. She completed her doctorate in biblical studies in 2008 and her Th.D. in 2015. When she’s not home reading or writing, Angie often travels to teach writing workshops at schools and writers’ conferences. And to talk about her pets, of course. She is also an avid photographer, using her photos to help find homes for animals at local rescues.

I have always loved to read. As a child, going to the library was a highlight and I would read through entire shelves of Historical Fiction until every single favorite author’s works were exhausted.

The power of the written word captivated me and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a writer. I wrote my first “novel” as a senior in high school for my English project. Of course, when I read it now, I giggle at my word choice and cringe at my sentence structure, but I had so much fun writing it that I decided to Major in Creative Writing and Minor in History. I loved studying the art of creative writing, so I stayed in school and obtained my Masters in Creative Writing as well.
