Finding Your Niche and Style with Rachel Jane Photography

Welcome back to the Podcast, I hope you are well and I hope you had a fabulous bank holiday easter weekend.

Today’s episode is the first interview on the podcast. A chat with a fellow photographer and friend, who I have had the pleasure of knowing for about 5 years now, Rachel from Rachel Jane Photography. Rachel is a family photographer based in Swindon, working with families across Wiltshire, in The Cotswolds and Gloucestershire here in the UK. She is a really talented photographer who has a beautiful, warm, soulful and emotive style of photography, and seeks those natural, unposed moments to document truthful memories for families.

Today we chat about Rachel starting her photography career and what that looked like, we chat about her finding her style and really developing her niche into family photography and transitioning from wedding photography.

I hope you enjoy this conversation and might relate to Rachel’s story in some way, and have some great take aways.

I’d love for you to subscribe and review and continue along this podcast journey and hearing from other amazing photographers! To read the show notes, check them out >>HERE! And if you aren’t already, show Rachel some love by following her on Instagram @racheljanephoto. Also the details for The Motherhood Collective Workshop here >> there are still a couple of spots left so don't wait!

How to Start a Photography Business in 2021

How to Start a Photography Business in 2021

Hello hello, I am so happy to be welcoming you back to the podcast today.

A question I get asked frequently is how do you even start your photography business, or “If you were to start your business from scratch today with everything you now know, what do you wish you would have done or maybe have done differently?

Today I’m going to be sharing with you what I would do if I was starting a business in photography today in 2021 and what I would be focusing on. This might be areas you are already focusing on, some things I would think about more than others, and a few I personally wouldn't look at, and a few different examples for different niches. Let’s dive right in!

I know this topic is going to be helpful for you if you are a photographer or service based business owner who is wondering what you should focus on next. It can feel like there are a lot of things that you could be focusing on when starting a business. You don’t want to waste your time or money on wasted efforts and ultimately you are wanting results right?

When thinking about these answers, I imagined I was opening a brand new photography business today in 2021 while keeping all the experience I have today. I’m trying to think what kinds of things I care about, and what I know has got me results and helped me create a fully booked, successful and most importantly profitable photography business

New Year, How to learn from your business in 2020 to make 2021 a great year!

How to make 2021 your year!

Hello hello, I am so happy to be welcoming you back to the podcast today, the first podcast of the year - yep it’s 2021! Anyone else super glad to be closing the door on 2020?

Before we dive on into the episode I just wanted to wish you a happy new year! Last year was tough, let’s face it, 2020 threw a massive curveball that no one anticipated. And it has effected a lot of people in so many ways. So I just wanted to take a moment to wish you a happy new year, any one else just cheers a glass to actually making it through to the end of the year?

I was 100% one of them. But whilst in many ways I never wish 2020 happened and panned out the way it did - I am also taking a moment to understand the impact last year had on me and my business. This has been something I have really been mulling over the past week or so and I really wanted to share this with you today, how it is changing my mindset for this year ahead and how I am changing things up.

I hope you find this episode inspiring and useful and if you take anything away from today, I would love to hear from you - you can connect with me over on Instagram and send me a DM @charlottebryerash .

But going into the new year, you can’t let what happened last year stop you from achieving and being the person you need to be this year.

Goal Setting, Big Picture Plans and How to Get on back on Track

Hey and welcome back to the ambitious and inspired podcast! Wow, honestly the feedback I had after the first episode was AMAZING and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to listening and for your support.

This year has thrown all sorts of curve balls and I just want to say first off if you haven’t achieved any of the goals or things you wanted to tick off your list that you wrote at the start of this year….that is totally okay! 2020 has been mental and if you haven’t had the space, energy, motivation to do it, that is okay. We still have some time to make an impact on our businesses this year and revisit the plan.

LET'S GET INTO IT! Today we are going to be having a quick, but deep dive into goalsetting, planning and if you may be feeling in a bit of a funk at the moment I’m not too sure what to work on on a day-to-day basis or how you can reconnect with your goals. Maybe you have no clue and you’re not even sure how to work out with what your big picture plan is.

I want to help you get on track.

I thought I could share some some insight on that because sometimes you can feel a bit lost not too sure where to turn to and we can end up staring at a blank piece of paper and just not really sure what to focus on.
