DeWine Time & Ditching the Bra

25m · Bubbles and Banter · 02 Apr 01:00

After a monthlong hiatus due to a severe case of the flu, I'm back! Today we're discussing why women are ditching underwire bras while working from home during social distancing and why I'm totally on board with this. If you're not from Ohio you may not know about our two amazing leaders guiding us through this coronavirus crisis. I highly recommend reading up on Dr. Amy Acton and why she's an inspiration to everyone! Two Ohio apparel brands have actually created t-shirts paying homage to Governor Mike DeWine and Dr. Acton. You'll soon learn why 2 p.m. every day is now "DeWine time". I end the episode with a long-winded discussion about my love for Real Housewives and why now is the perfect time to dive into a franchise if you've never dabbled. Just call it a history lesson into the amazingness that is Real Housewives!

The episode DeWine Time & Ditching the Bra from the podcast Bubbles and Banter has a duration of 25:32. It was first published 02 Apr 01:00. The cover art and the content belong to their respective owners.

SIBO and Endo and Mold, Oh My! My Crazy 3 Year Health Journey

After a hiatus, I'm back on the podcast detailing my 3-years-long health battle. It's been a journey that has included my second endometriosis surgery for stage 4 endo, a SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) diagnosis, and what now looks like mold toxicity. Between weight gain, hair loss, insomnia, and brain fog to name a few, it's been an ordeal. I try to detail everything somewhat lightheartedly, but I wanted to share my experience and struggles to help others who might be going through it. I've been to countless doctors, had tons of bloodwork and ultrasounds, and even had a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I've done everything! Hearing other people's stories has been really helpful for me so I wanted to share mine and why I'm feeling hopeful that I might finally be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

2021 Fashion Predictions and How Our Style Changed in 2020 with Bryanna Bach

Our first recurring Bubbles and Banter guest is on the podcast today! I chatted with my friend Bryanna Bach from the blog Coming in Clutch about all things fashion. We talk about how our fashion choices and shopping habits changed in 2020 amid the pandemic and what we see for the future of fashion. We also talk about the fashion trends we're seeing for 2021, and if certain styles are out for good once the pandemic is over. Bryanna and I could talk about fashion for hours and hours and I'm already excited for her to be back as a guest!

Talking Stand-Up Comedy with Comedian Joanna Goslin

Today I'm talking with comedian Joanna Goslin about her stand-up comedy journey and how she got her start. I really enjoyed this conversation because Joanna overcame some harsh critics at a young age to continue pursuing a passion and talent. We met through an online content creation class at Second City and I'm so grateful we crossed paths! Side note: if you're wanting to do something creative but feeling stuck due to the pandemic, I highly recommend taking an online class. Not only is it a great way to sharpen your skills and do something creative, but it's been perfect for connecting with people across the county who have similar interests and goals!

My Double Life and What I've Been Doing the Last Few Years

It's just me on today's episode and I wanted to talk about some of the passions I've been secretly pursuing the past few years! I truly feel like I live a double life sometimes with balancing my blogging, real estate, personal, and now comedy content creation careers. I wanted to talk about my journey from getting the idea to take acting classes, then improv, and now writing and content creation in the comedic space. It's scary to reveal something you've held close to the vest for so long, but I think it's good to get uncomfortable. I ramble a lot in this episode but really wanted to share some personal thoughts and struggles I've had to overcome over the years, and hope it can help someone else who feels nervous to take a leap into something new.

Influencer Season Is Upon Us. Here's How To Be A Fall Influencer

As someone who has been creating content on the Internet since 2012, I've noticed some trends over the years. In my opinion, October has emerged as peak season for "influencers". Now, the word influencer encompasses so many different groups of people who create content on social media and the internet. These tips are mainly geared toward those who want to achieve the highest levels of "basic". Think pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice lattes, large brimmed hats, and leaves. Lots of leaves. I wanted to share some simple steps in case you too seek to become an autumnal influencer.

*In case anyone out there reading this takes things way too seriously, this episode is meant to be a lighthearted satire on influencer culture. After doing this for so many years I've learned to find humor in things that may otherwise be frustrating, which this "influencer" world can definitely be sometimes!
