Welcome to Finding Your Synchronous Fit

Welcome to Finding Your Synchronous Fit. I'm your host, Umesh Ramakrishnan I'm thrilled to introduce you to this new podcast series powered by Kingsley Gate Partners. Kingsley Gate Partners is a global executive search firm that uses a digital framework to ensure a lasting fit between organizations and the senior executives that they're looking to hire. For over three decades, including my time now as co-CEO of Kingsley Gate Partners, I have helped organizations around the world to hire board members and C-suite executives.

What is the main challenge, you may ask of doing that? It is finding a synchronous fit between organizations and candidates. In other words, ensuring that the candidates have not only the skills to do the required job, but also the leadership attributes and the personality that matches a company's culture. But how do you know which leadership attributes to look for when you're hiring an executive in the middle of a global pandemic? There isn't a handbook that gives us any guidance or steps to follow, there isn't an experience profile that shows us all the characteristics that someone displayed during the last pandemic.

The cost of a wrong hire, which is usually substantial in any case can be completely debilitating due to the current change and uncertainty. Can you imagine a product company changing strategy dramatically due to the direction of a new leader and all product launches are delayed as a result? Or a company's strategy being rewritten only to find out that it does not fit in with the new normal? How much does a delay or a flow like that really cost? Sometimes, immeasurable.

Finding Your Synchronous fit is geared towards helping both organizations and candidates to avoid this scenario. Our guests are proven leaders who have led their organizations through the biggest calamities and have thrived during times of uncertainty. Through interviews with experts and with their analysis, we will help companies, large and small to find the right candidate. We will assist candidates with figuring out how to identify opportunities that are the best fit for them versus those that can be turned into wasted efforts. We will engage in discussions with senior executives across several industries to discuss their experience about how they found a role that best fit them and their organization. We will also pick the brains of Kingsley Gate Partners leadership team.

The year 2020 caused all of us to look inward, be more introspective about what we really want from our careers alike. We took to 2021 with hope and nervous anticipation. We're so excited to help our listeners to find a synchronous fit, that perfect match between what an individual wants and what an organization needs in this new world that was suddenly thrust upon all of us. Be sure to look out for our very first episode. You can also visit Kingsley Gate Partners on Twitter, LinkedIn and on our website, kingsleygate.com.
