Young Melody Landover just wanted to listen to her Elvis record and live the carefree life of a teenager in the early 1960's. She was one of the lucky ones at her north Alabama church to avoid kidnapping by their fanatical preacher before he was caught and imprisoned. As that old church, and the whole town around it, were about to be flooded to create a massive lake in the name of hydroelectric power, Melody joined her family at their new church in their new town, unsuspecting that she was still in danger...from both the kidnapper and the flood.
*The Flood is a prequel to our previous story, The Baptist.
