Founder and Managing Director of Books Unbound Sophie has been working with refugees from Myanmar for the past 6 years around Southeast Asia, which inspired her to start Books Unbound. Books Unbound is a team of crowd-sourced artists and educators who develop contextualized picture-based learning materials. She works closely with local and international NGOs to develop innovative and culturally sensitive education tools. While she runs her projects, she also works as a consultant for various UN agencies to develop materials for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. She is mostly based in Bangladesh.

His first 15 years were spent in the technology and telecommunications industry where he was President of Correctional Billing Services, Executive Vice President of Operations at Securus Technologies, COO of Evercom Systems and COO of TDM, Inc. He holds five patents in the technology and telecommunications industry and led business units with over $300 million in full P&L responsibility. Most recently, he was the CEO of Bourbon Brothers Holding Company and prior was the COO of international orphan ministry Children’s HopeChest.
