Adam Boismier currently works as a consultant and is all about two things: getting out of his comfort zone and helping others. In late 2017, Adam realized that he was not equipped to deal with stress and discomfort and decided to do something about it. The following year was deemed his "Year of Discomfort" and he invited friends, family, and anybody who was interested to participate in activities they found to be uncomfortable or scary. This led Adam to snowboard one of the tallest mountains in the Eastern US, start vlogging on social media, raising $2200+ with 27 other people to complete a mud run, drive a NASCAR at Michigan International Speedway, and even participate in a nude photoshoot! Adam created a brand called Comfort Via Discomfort to share stories of others getting outside their comfort zone in hopes to inspire people around the world to change their relationship with fear. What started as a fun challenge has turned into a lifestyle and, more importantly, a mindset.

Ola Hassan and Being Conscious of Wastefulness
Ola Hassan is an international student from Egypt who came to Canada in pursuit of her graduate degree. Whether it was in the café she worked in while living in Canada, or back in her own kitchen in Cairo she constantly saw the ways in which leftover food would go to waist. Because of this she decided to start a new initiative in Windsor known as Kindness Cafe, a not-for-profit business that saves surplus and leftover food for those in less fortunate situations. Her aim wasn’t to create a thriving business model, but to start a conscious movement where people would be aware and limit their own food waste.
