Dr. Ja’Wanda S. Grant is the president and co-founder of Celebrate Sisters Foundation, a non-profit organization which aims to inspire and equip girls to pursue their purpose by providing mentorship, educational programs, scholarships and promoting sisterhood. Celebrate Sisters Foundation provides an annual scholarship to a deserving high school senior pursuing a degree in STEM. Celebrate Sisters Foundation launched a virtual mentoring program for girls ranging from 6th to 12th grade. Healthy Girls Alliance promotes total health: physical, mental, emotional, financial, and social. Dr. Grant’s passion for mentoring was ignited in college. She received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 2002. While at the University of Mississippi, she was an active mentor, tutor, and summer counselor in the Louis Stokes for Minority Participation I.M.A.G.E program, which encouraged students in STEM to engage in research and pursue graduate education. Thanks to the mentoring and support she received from the I.M.A.G.E. program, she earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2008 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York University. Dr. Grant continues to inspire individuals of all ages to activate their gifts and talents with confidence and joy!
