In this episode, I have a chat with Beatriz Ayala. She is an award-winning Advertising and Communications executive with over 10 years of experience. She was working for global and local agencies including as a Group Account Director for BBDO Puerto Rico. She worked with brands such as Cover Girl, Pantene, Medalla Light, Bacardi, Snickers, M&M’s, Pedigree, and Hyundai for the US Hispanic market, Central America, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico.

Today she is leading her tech music startup called Musicasa pioneering the future of live entertainment. Musiscasa is a live music platform discovering and exposing undiscovered musicians and connecting them with music lovers through highly intimate concerts both online and offline.  By focusing on community building, they are sparking joyful human connections through the power of live music and live interactions.

Dr. Ashley Whillans is an Assistant Professor in the Negotiation, Organizations & Markets Unit, teaching Negotiations and Motivation and Incentives courses to MBA students and Executives.

In 2015 and 2018, she was named a Rising Star of Behavioral Science by the Behavioral Science and Policy Association. In 2016, she co-founded the Department of Behavioral Science in the Policy, Innovation, and Engagement Division of the British Columbia Public Service Agency.

Her research has been published in top academic journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes, Journal of Personality & Social Psychology, Nature Human Behavior, and Science Advances and popular media outlets including Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Her first book "Time Smart: How to Reclaim Your Time & Live a Happier Life" was published in October 2020 by Harvard Business Publishing and was named among the top Business/Behavioral Science books of 2020 by the Globe and Mail, the Behavioral Scientist, and the Greater Good Magazine.
