Being an additional needs mum and making a difference with Charlene Dickey

This week Lauren sits down with Charlene Dickey, who is mum to Oliver, Max and Emily. The similarities between Lauren and Charlene are scary and they have known each other for years, but this is the first time they actually got to meet.

Oliver was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when he was 2 and Charlene and her family fundraised tirelessly to get Oliver to America for life changing surgery. Now nearly 10 years later Oliver is fundraising to help other children make magical memories with the NI Children To Lapland Trust.

In this episode Charlene and Lauren discuss life as a mum with children with additional needs. The impact of that as mothers and how they both coped when their boys were diagnosed with their respective conditions. They are completely honest about that process as mothers, and also how the effects of those diagnoses on siblings.
