In this episode, we discussed systems engineering, management and thinking as it applies to businesses and entrepreneurs.

DJavon Alston, the son of Raymond and Tonita Alston, was born and raised in Durham, NC. He is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a BS in Industrial Engineering in 2009 and a MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering in 2011. DJavon currently resides in Newport News, Virginia and is employed as a Senior Systems Engineer with E&M Technologies working as a defense contractor with the US Air Force. 

He is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Phoenix Professional Network, a members-only, invite-only professional networking company that provides membership to professional like-minded adults working to progress their careers, achieve personal goals, and take next-level action to propel and expedite progress for our people.

He is also the Managing Owner of D.R. Alston Personal & Professional Management, a management firm dedicated to the personal/professional development and business management of an artist or business. He uses “systems thinking” leadership, accompanied with a get-the-job-done, go-getter mentality, along with Systems Engineering tools such as action planning, risk and opportunity management, and knowledge management to oversee the careers and businesses of the client. 

Mr. Alston's #1 passion is mentorship, and he takes pride in passing on the knowledge he's received and experience he's gained to his mentees. He believes in utilizing your network and capitalizing off of what you're good at. He's all about surrounding himself with positive energy, developing mutually-beneficial partnerships, and BUILDING.

She has a  Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science and Engineering, MBA, and Nursing Degree.  The App is available on IOS and Android.
